A service for Von Ward, 69, of
Jeffersonville, IN will be at 1 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at
Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St. in Jeffersonville. Visitation will
be from 11 AM – 1 PM on Thursday at the funeral center. Von passed away
on September 8, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Von was born on December 17, 1948 to the
late Patrick and Mildred Ward. He graduated from Jeff High in 1969. He
worked as a scorekeeper for the Jeffersonville Parks and Recreation
Department for many years. His generous personality carried over to his
stay at Hillcrest Village where he helped with feeding fish, welcoming
guests, and delivering newspapers to fellow residents.
Along with his parents, Von is preceded in death by his brother, John Ward.
Von is survived by his sisters, Agnes Ward
(John) and Linda Roberts (Lebeau); nieces and nephews, Benny, Jo Anna,
and Jimmy; and special friends, Cliff and Dottie Zollman and Lisa
Thompson.
